Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Timberkala, every product is handcrafted with care and attention to detail. As our products are handmade and often produced in limited quantities, we maintain a strict return, refund, and cancellation policy. By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Order Cancellation Policy

  • Orders may be cancelled only within 2 hours of placing the order.
  • Cancellation requests received after 2 hours of order placement may not be accepted, as processing and production may have already commenced.
  • Approved cancellations will be refunded in the form of store credit only.
  • Timberkala reserves the right to decline cancellation requests submitted beyond the permitted timeframe.

Return Eligibility

Mandatory Unboxing Evidence

To be eligible for any return, replacement, or damage claim, customers must provide:

  • A clear, uninterrupted video recording of the entire unboxing process starting from the sealed package.
  • Clear visibility of the shipping label and package condition before opening.
  • Clear evidence of any damage, defect, missing item, or incorrect product during the unboxing process.

Claims submitted without a complete unboxing video will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Return Window

  • Return requests must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Requests received after 48 hours from the delivery timestamp will not be considered.

Eligible Return Reasons

1. Incorrect Product Received

If you receive a product different from what was ordered, you may request a return or replacement within 48 hours, subject to verification.

2. Damaged Product Received

If the product arrives damaged:

  • A complete unboxing video is mandatory.
  • Additional photographs of the damaged area may be requested.
  • Once approved, a replacement will be arranged within 7 business days, subject to stock availability.

Claims for damages reported without proper evidence will not be accepted.

3. Change of Mind

If you wish to return a product because it does not suit your décor, preferences, or expectations:

  • The product must be unused, undamaged, and returned in its original packaging.
  • The product must pass our quality inspection upon receipt.
  • Approved returns under this category will be eligible for 80% store credit of the product value, less applicable processing fees.

Processing Fees for Change-of-Mind Returns

The following processing fees will apply:

  • Orders up to ₹999 – ₹200
  • Orders from ₹1,000 to ₹2,999 – ₹400
  • Orders from ₹3,000 to ₹4,999 – ₹700
  • Orders ₹5,000 and above – 20% of the order value

Shipping charges, COD charges, handling fees, and other service charges are non-refundable.


Exchanges

  • Exchanges are subject to product availability.
  • Once the returned item has been approved and picked up, customers must place a fresh order for the replacement item.
  • Due to limited inventory, Timberkala cannot guarantee availability of any specific product for exchange.

Refund Policy

  • Timberkala does not provide cash refunds, bank transfers, UPI refunds, or card refunds.
  • All approved refunds will be issued exclusively as store credit.
  • Store credit will be issued within 24–48 hours of approval.
  • Store credit is valid for 60 days from the date of issuance.
  • Store credit cannot be converted into cash.

Handcrafted Product Disclaimer

Every Timberkala product is handcrafted by skilled artisans.

As a result, slight variations in:

  • Wood grain
  • Texture
  • Color tone
  • Finish
  • Dimensions (within reasonable tolerance)

are natural characteristics of handmade products and shall not be considered defects, damages, or grounds for return, refund, replacement, or exchange.

These natural variations make each piece unique and are part of its handcrafted authenticity.


Non-Returnable Situations

Returns, replacements, exchanges, or refunds will not be approved for:

  • Claims submitted without a complete unboxing video.
  • Minor variations resulting from handcrafted production.
  • Damage caused after delivery.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Improper handling, installation, storage, or maintenance by the customer.
  • Products returned without original packaging.
  • Requests made after the 48-hour reporting window.
  • Customized, personalized, made-to-order, clearance, or sale items.

Marketplace Purchases

Products purchased through third-party marketplaces or retail partners, including Amazon, Flipkart, exhibitions, distributors, resellers, or physical showrooms, are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund through Timberkala’s website.

Customers must contact the original point of purchase for assistance.


Final Decision

Timberkala reserves the absolute right to inspect, verify, approve, reject, or resolve all return, refund, replacement, exchange, and cancellation requests.

The company’s decision shall be final and binding in all cases.
